Valve really are a bunch of dicks trying to gate off user made content like that, it's greed pure and simple. BZScrap stands ready to accept any and all mod content - and if all goes to plan it should be getting a facelift in the near future. I'm not convinced this is Valve's doing, manually download steam workshop mods, since it's not a global change and BZR for which an identical guide exists remains totally unaffected.

The issues with this guide were the result of the game's release; the Steam Workshop works differently and clunkily for pre-release titles, manually download steam workshop mods, so while the guide worked just before release the issue only became apparent afterwards.
